Share by Night - New performers
More artists specializing in electronic music have been officially confirmed for this year’s SHARE by Night.
Darren Cunningham, also known under pseudonym 'Actress' is an enigmatic London-based producer whose music is pretty much based on lo-fi esthetics and its elements: errors in encoding, compression and anomalies during music recording, but to the extent that it gains substantial artistic value. His first album was nominated for Mercury award in competition with Pet Shop Boys, PJ Harvey and Manic Street Preachers, whereas his second album was released by label owned by Blur and Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn, with whom Actress recently recorded a futuristic afro record with local talents in several tribes of DR Congo.
Another London-based artist is Roska, currently a leader of British bass scene whose records can be found in boxes of most of influential DJs. Berlin techno and house scene will be presented by Redshape, ATA , Gerd Janson, as well as Canadian Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts , who performs live. Local support will be provided by the Body & Soul team headed by Marko Nastić.
