Prominent American magazine Foreign Policy named him among top global thinkers of 2011 for his influence in shaping new strategies to expand government transparency.
After bitter clashes within the organization, Domscheit-Berg and a number of his soul mates left Wikileaks to focus on developing new whistleblowing project OpenLeaks, a democratically managed platform that would achieve more political neutrality. OpenLeaks would not engage in publishing otherwise inaccessible material obtained from anonymous sources, but maintain cooperation with individuals and organizations and forward the data to its media partners.
Daniel is author of the book ‘Inside WikiLeaks: My Time with Julian Assange at the World's Most Dangerous Website‘.
