Javni Dosije
Javni dosije is a historic collaborative project on Milosevic’s regime. Its purpose is to document nomenclature of the regime, ie. all the persons who were in the key positions in the spheres controlled by the regime, as well as to organize and ascertain that the information is public.
So far they have mapped the institutions, organizations and companies which were controlled by the regime political parties’ nuclei and they have documented the information about officials who ran these entities from 1987 until 2000. The result of it all is a data base with every information and documentation on “regime biographies” of 1600 persons. The book that contains the information was published in 2011, and soon it will be available for the public at this web portal.
Their next aim is to document regime transformation after political changes and October 5, 2000 and to check how far the Serbian society has stepped into post-Milosevic’s era. In addition to that, they want to make an extensive digital archive containing news, magazine articles, TV and court records which document what these people said and what was said about them during and after the regime period. They want the next phase of the research to be open-type as well, i.e. to have the public involved in the research via the web platform, collecting and verifying information and documentation.
