Asma Maroof and Daniel Pineda are a team that has been for years producing atypical dance music influenced by Chicago house, Footwork and hybrid bass music that comes from London. Although you might not have heard Nguznguzu songs, it is quite possible that you’ve heard their work through mixtape M.I.A - Vicki Leekx, or you may have heard Asma who is DJ on M.I.A. tours

Contemporary R&B is also a significant element in their music, and is best defined on their remix editions for Mad Decent, Unknown To The Unknown, but also on their own EP for Fade To Mind, label that they manage together with Kingdom and Prince William.
Nguznguzu are a global bass phenomenon whose music, despite being oriented towards dancefloor, has much more to offer than usual club music.
