R&S is a cult independent label, founded by Renaat and his wife Sabrina in Belgium in 1984. The label signed and published some of the crucial pieces in the history of electronic music by authors like Aphex Twin, Derrick May, Carl Craig, C.J. Bolland, Model 500 (Juan Atkins), Dave Angel, Ken Ishii and others.
After a calm period during the music industry crisis from 2001 to 2006, the label was re-launched with remixes of the classics by currently active producers Audion, Prins Thomas, Boyz Noise, but also with new editions that R&S traditionally position as an entirely cutting-edge brand with an impressive list of artists: James Blake, Pariah, Space Dimension Controller, Blawan, Vondelpark, Klaus, Airhead and others.
It’s a great honor for SHARE conference to host Mr Vandepapeliere, who has already employed some young experts as the label managers, so that he could share experience with authors, music lovers and the industry members throughout the world.
