First Performers of SHARE By Night
The first part of this year’s SHARE music program has been confirmed, and will be dominated by by progressive and contemporary electronic music, performed by artists with active influence on reshaping the international scene and its trends.
One of the most interesting is Tim Exile, classically educated violinist with a degree in philosophy and master’s degree in electro-acoustic composition, who performs intelligent dance music, with sounds sent to him by local fans. He develops his own equipment to program effects and music sequences in real time.
Our visitors at this year’s SHARE can also expect a video performance by two most recent audio-visual collectives – Anti VJ i Pfadfinderei . The multimedia they create is the product of passion and expertise in the realm of contemporary design, music and new technologies. At one of the performances in Belgrade’s Dom Omladine, the audience will have the chance to feel a special sensory experience aroused by projected light, backed by music with strong ambiance.
During the three days, several Belgrade clubs will also host a large number of contemporary producers and DJs who, each in their own way, influenced modern music. The inevitable figure of Berlin techno scene DJ Pete will recreate the atmosphere in Kreuzberg’s underground clubs. At the day program, he will discourse on the history of the development of the scene, together with Dutch author ‘I-F’, who brought back Italo-Disco in a big way and whose hit single 'Space Invaders Are Smoking Grass' established popular genre 'electroclash’, which heavily influenced Ladytron, Peaches, Fischerspooner, DJ Tiga, Miss Kittin and others. One of the gems of electro spiced up with contemporary interpretation of breakdance music is London-based producer DMX Krew, who will perform live with music from 6 albums, released by famous innovator Aphex Twin’s label Rephlex .
Other artists from the British capital are dark post-disco duo Spectral Empire, popular garage producer Redlight, as well as representatives of the new British scene, mystical trio The Claw, comprised of Kingdom, Nguzunguzu i Total Freedom, which moves known borders of electronic music.
