Marko Nastić is the leading South Eastern European DJ.
During the 1990s, Marko and his mates built one of the most vibrant club scenes in Eastern Europe, the one that inspired writers of Mixmag, The Face, DJ and NME to to praise them and their efforts.
DJing and music were always part of Marko's background: even in his pre-teen years he was fascinated with synthesizers, drum machines and other sound-making gadgets. When techno started filtering through to Serbia in the early 1990s, Marko eagerly entered the scene. Soon stories about a teenage techno prodigy started spreading aroud the town and this energy was channeled into a young and aspiring DJ tem called Teenage Techno Punks (TTP) - all of whom were under 18. Nastić was the leader of the pack, soon to become the hottest talent of South Eastern Europe's electronic scene. The free parties they threw during those times are still an urban legend in Belgrade. The club scenes in neighbouring countries became aware of Nastić's unparalleled DJing skills and his distinctive three-deck style. Marko has since matured into a DJ who cannot easily be labeled as techno, house or minimal. Nastić was a member of the original Recycled Loops crew. After the label was discontinued, Marko joined Valentino Kanzyani's "Jesus Loved You" and started three labels himself: Recon Warriors, which put Marko on the charts, followed by Recon Light and Traffica. Also, Marko has a number of projects running at the moment. There is Space Explorers with Marko Milosavljević, Tango and Cash with Kobaya and several porjects with Dejan Milićević. Marko did his first non-European tour in 2002, which started in Brazil. Now he regularly plays gigs all over the world. Since 2006, he has been hosting a radio show called "Music For Body And Soul" at the leading Serbian radio station B92. Marko's first solo album is soon to be released.

Recon Warriors started as a pioneering techno label from Belgrade, Serbia. Founded by Marko Nastic in 2004, the label rounded up the best producers from the region and very soon became a well respected brand on the techno scene. In 2005 Recon Light and Traffica Records were formed as minimal and house counterparts of Recon Warriors. At first only vinyl pressings were available but from 2007 we started with digital releases too. As always the main goal behind Recon brand was releasing and promoting quality electronic music from talented producers around the world. Throughout the years, with uncompromising quality production and frequent label parties Recon became a well respected and influential brand in these regions. Now these labels coexist in creative symbiosis that complement each other with conceptual releases and interesting collaborations. Of course, it's not impossible for some releases to transcend labels genre classifications.
Music For Body And Soul is a radio show hosted by Marko Nastic, Dejan Milicevic and Marko Milosavljevic on Radio B92 every friday 22h. Every show features a guest mix from talented as well as upcoming DJs in addition to a mix by Marko Nastic featuring new music from around the world. The show also focuses on promotion of the labels' new releases and parties.
